The only Humanoid b-side, ‘Bass Invaders’ is, effectively, a different remix of ‘Slam‘. Synth sequences, stabs, the Berserk ‘Humanoid’ sample and Ben Ofoedu’s vocals are all present from the original track. There are unique drum patterns and synth stabs, but ultimately little of note is added to the track. The most notable aspect is the inclusion of both male and female vocal samples which are best known for their use in the Global track ‘Cry Baby’. The track feels more like a studio jam rather than a fully fledged track. It’s an intriguing curio, but generally an inessential entry to the Humanoid catalogue.
