More atmospheric melodic techno from Intelligent Communication. The drum machine hits slightly harder on this one, but the vibe is still pensive and mellow, without a hint of rave or house music. Structurally, the track is one of the band’s finest of the era, gradually building and adding more elements as it goes on: the chords that come in at 2:20 are a particular highlight.

As much as anything on this EP, ‘Flight’ really highlights just how versatile Brian and Garry were, even at this early point in their career, managing to create a beautiful, subtle techno track like this at the same time they were producing successful breakbeat hardcore as Smart Systems and house as Mental Cube.
