The CD version of the ‘Expander’ single features the typical radio edit, albeit an edit of the Remix version of the ‘Expander‘. Structurally, as with many of the group’s radio edits, the track retains the structure of the full length version. Indeed, given that this edit only removes a minute from the track, the bulk of the two are identical: just 30 seconds from the beginning, and around the same amount from about 3:20 into the main track are removed. It’s possible the radio edit received some airplay at the time, given the amount of attention the band was receiving at the time, and the fact that the single sold enough to chart in the top 75, but it’s unlikely to have been one of the most widely played radio cuts in their career.
