The Future Sound of London – Bring Me Home

Released on:
Signed Sealed Delivered 2

Runtime: 3:13

An exclusive track for the second of three 21st Anniversary budget price compilations Virgin Records put out in 1994, ‘Bring Me Home’ is an unusual track that feels much older than its release date. A chugging breakbeat, a wobbly voice singing the title, some synth chords and a J&P era-sounding bird-like sample, it’s pretty simplistic and lacking the subtlety of the Lifeforms era, suggesting it might have been a leftover from 1992. Interestingly, however, the title appears alongside a number of ‘Lifeforms’ titles on an image in the The Most Important Moments in a Life book. One of the less interesting rarities in the band’s catalogue.
