Opening with a long field recording-based environment, ‘Path 6’ is by far the most ambient piece on the ‘Lifeforms’ single. Effectively a reprise of ‘Path 4’, reusing the piano notes and light percussion from that track, it acts as a brief respite before the much darker closing path. The field recording and gentle feel give the track a nocturnal vibe. It shares a set of animal and human voice samples with ‘Ill Flower‘ and the album version of ‘Lifeforms‘.
