The live version of ‘Her Face Forms in Summertime‘ is quite a different arrangement, retaining the guitar lines, background ambience and the rough structure of the original, but with the remaining parts of the track quite different. Instead of the intricately programmed cut-up and phased drum loops, several more standard breakbeats are included in the live version, giving it more of a trip-hop slant. The bassline is similarly different, with much more groove. The layers of cymbals providing a wash of ambience is missing, as are a number of the digital noises, and the breakdown in the middle is shorter. The outro environment is present, albeit heavily truncated and more intense.
