I absolutely hated this when I first heard it. A four note synth loop speeds up and slows down, weird chords play in the background, and sampled timpani boom away. In hindsight, it’s easy to imagine how this could be really amazing in 5.1, with a barrage of utterly bizarre noises coming from all directions. As a normal stereo listening experience, it’s somewhat less appealing. Still, what’s a FSOL release without a baffling moment?
