Humanoid – Technoid

Released on:
Global

Runtime: 4:58

The least awful of Peter Black’s contributions to Global, ‘Technoid’ is a largely instrumental house track. It’s led by some fairly bland synth presets, and the bassline never varies, stopping it from achieving much interest. Still, varying from the verse/chorus vocal house template of a lot of Black’s contributions makes it generally more enjoyable than the likes of ‘Dream‘ and ‘Don’t Stop‘.

The track was likely to be one of the first Black worked on for the album, shortly after Dougans abandoned the project to move home, recover, and get legal advice about issues surrounding Westside Records, as it appeared on a potential tracklist which also included unused Dougans-era tracks such as ‘Jet Stream Toyko’ and ‘Fat Freddy’.
