Where ‘Maharishi Raga‘ slowed ‘Divinity‘ to an uplifting dirge (is such a thing possible?), ‘The Conga Run’ does the opposite, turning it into a slice of uplifting instrumental rock, led by piano chords and extensive guitar soloing from Stu Rowe. It’s glorious, and no doubt considered incredibly cheesy by many. Electronic production is still present in the layers, samples, breakbeat and synth lines: it’s effectively The Pat Metheny Group fed through a computer.
